"While there was much in the way of comedy this afternoon, there were also some good, solid dramatic scenes, particularly Blackbird by David Harrower.  Andrew Malkin, who we had seen briefly earlier as the ineffectual vicar in Confusions, is now the menacing, sexual aggressor Ray, a convicted paedophile confronted by Corinne Wilkinson as the girl he had a relationship with 15 years previously.  Both actors created the tension necessary to make this scene work and Malkin has very strong stage presence that will serve him well in future work."
